The project proposals comprise the remodelling and extension of a substantial rural public house together with partial change of use of the upper floor to provide 3 separate letting apartments. In addition the project includes the creation of an overflow carpark and ancillary accommodation for a bio-mass boiler and rechargeable bike hire facility.
The re-configured interior provides increased dining area, and a series flexible function rooms to facilitate group bookings and private hire. The entire gable end of the former hay loft (skittle alley) has been removed and replaced with a double height steel frame and glass façade providing floor to ceiling southerly views across the abounding River Sheppey. The kitchen area has been completely re-modelled to provide state of the art cooking facilities, including the formation of a new glazed link single storey extension which  provides service points for the restaurant whilst providing covered access to the refurbished wash rooms and external central courtyard.
A series of large format siding folding bi-fold doors have been strategically inserted to provide direct access from the new dining room onto a projecting river fronting balcony and further similar style doors provide access into both sides of the new central courtyard.
